Hermit Crab - Blue Leg

Clibanarius tricolor
Care: Beginner
Diet: Omnivorous
Light: Medium
Place of origin: Caribbean
Temperature: Tropical: 23-27 deg C (73-81 deg F)
Water Parameters: SG: 1.020-1.025, pH: 8.1-8.4

Hermit Crab - Blue Leg - Often used as part of an aquarium 'clean-up-crew'. These crabs are useful for grazing on debris and various types of algae. Make sure they have a number of various sized empty shells available as they will upsize to larger shells in line with their growth. Does not get along with red-legged hermit crabs and can cause damage in numbers; we recommend one per 35 litres of water. Copper treatments should not be used with this species.
